The base of this Cyclone Dining Table is said to have been inspired by the form of the traditional washbasin.  A variation was put into production by Knoll Associates of New York in 1954 and went out of production at the end of the 1950s.  

This table not only serves as a functional piece of furniture but also as a conversation starter, reflecting Noguchi’s innovative approach to design and his ability to blend art with everyday objects.
